Assistant Lighting Designer

We Are... Dead State!, Penn State School of Theatre, Fall 2009

While I was officially the Assistant Lighting Designer for We Are... Dead State!, the Penn State themed Haunted House, My main role was the Lighting/Midi Programmer. In this role, I took an Expression 3, four midi to relay circuit boards (that I assembled), a Mac Mini running QLab, 8 security cameras and two monitor screens for them and assembled the command and control systems for the Haunted House. I built the system from the ground up, networked everything and programmed the lights, pneumatics and Sound Effects to synchronize them and allow them to be controlled from a Yamaha Midi Keyboard.

Aida, Mainstage Center for the Arts, Summer 2006

For Aida, I was originally Moving Light Programmer/Master Electrician. While programming, I was given ALD responsibilities in helping to create the looks. The show was done on a mostly Rep Plot with a few specials and projected backdrops. There were 2 Cyberlights and 2 StudioSpot 250s and it was programmed on an Express 125 console.
